I think there are multiple advantages to use this avatar in education, both as a teacher and with your students.
First of all, I think that you let people guess more or less how is your personality, your hobbies, your favourite colours... I mean, is a way to introduce yourself in an indirect way to others. 
Apart from that, you start getting to know each of your students and their likes, their favourite things... I mean, by just looking at the avatar, you discover several things about the other person.

The funny thing is... you can personalize as you want! You can create yourself, starting by taking a selfie if you prefer your avatar looks the same as you or... if you want to be more creative like me... you go for it!
Apart from that, I think to have an avatar motivate students to use it as a sticker in all their online projects, and they can communicate effectively with their classmates. 
It is a very encouraging tool because they can show their emotions, send messages and complete their sentences with a little bit of originality. There are multiple options for stickers to choose from... sometimes it's impossible to choose only one!

  It can be also useful as a personal teacher brand, using the avatar for creating cards, graphic organizers...

In addition, if you are a technologic teacher, this avatar can be used to encourage your online classes. It is very useful if you want to share amusing messages with your students, or even you can create a virtual class in which the students have the opportunity to make tasks, games or sessions in video. 
Personally, nowadays with this technological era we are living in, it is a very advantageous tool that motivates students in virtual learning.

Yesterday I discovered a wonderful website in which not only you create your own avatar... but also you can make it talk! AMAZING RIGHT?
The website itself is called Voki, you can have a look at

Obviously, it has a FREE CREATOR in which you can spend the time you want in order to create your avatar.
A funny thing is that you can create as a human being, a pet, a Pokemon, a dragon, random customes... it is such a detailed website. It makes learning so much fun!!

    Wow Carolina, I'm impressed... Your avatar is awesome! Students will fall in love with it - no doubts. I'm also using Bitmoji and I consider it a great tool to motivate students inside and outside the classroom! I'm looking forward to reading more posts 😄.

 Hello!!!  Did you miss me?  My mates and I decided to create a video about the recognition of women's work  to dedicate some time in class to talk about this topic.  How can we use these videos for educational purposes ? It's very easy because with these tools you can engage students in the topic you want. Your students can feel more attracted to the lesson if you introduce the topic with an original video!
